DAMN
I’m not afraid to say that I want more gun control in addition to enforcing the laws that are already in place. Those arguing in favor for gun rights quote Switzerland as a country to model after. What they neglect to mention is that even though a higher percentage of of the Swiss population owns a gun, their regulations and laws regarding those guns are far more strict than what we have in the United States. In Switzerland, men are issued guns when they register for the civilian service. However, all of the ammunition for these gun owners must stay stored in arsenals rather than in the private homes and they are increasingly making those guns stay in the arsenals as well. So that argument that there aren’t mass shootings in Switzerland because everyone has a concealed weapon on their person at all times? Not necessarily true. The major difference in the gun mindset between the US and Switzerland: in the US, gun ownership is viewed as a “right,” in Switzerland you need a “reason” to own a gun and then have that reason checked out every 6 months. In addition, when first applying for a gun ownership license, a citizen is required to be “over 18, a member of a shooting society…and if you lie with other people, they must somewhat agree with that…You must also produce a good-morality certificate” (stason.org). This first license must be received from the police and can take over a month to receive. Some of the cantons also have bans on some high capacity rifles and semi-automatic. Sounds pretty reasonable to me.

Honestly though, if a cute guy came dancing up to me like this in a spitting imitation of Buzz, I would adore him forever.
